The Project
YooAtom is an emerging tech brand making waves with their unique modular power station. The team required a comprehensive rebranding, preserving only their original logo. Developed at Somos under my leadership as Art Director and Lead Graphic Designer, the project was a collaborative effort with a talented junior design team. YooAtom sought a bold, intriguing identity that visually communicated the concept of modularity. They aimed to break away from the overused, sterile minimalism typical of the tech industry. The final result is a brand that feels sophisticated yet deeply human and approachable. It possesses a unique aesthetic that remains familiar, anchored by custom typography inspired by the product’s circular form and modular DNA.
The Details
The project spanned from initial strategy and visual concepting to a full brand identity. This included a curated color palette, typography systems, imagery guidelines, and a comprehensive brand book. We placed a significant focus on packaging and Amazon digital assets. While many of these applications served as high-level creative inspiration rather than final print-ready files, they established a clear North Star for the brand's future.
